Mission Blue – Resources

The films featured in this POW! round show how media can motivate action. They also demonstrate how POW! [Power Our World] can amplify media impact.

Mission Blue trailer

National Geographic has prepared teaching resources to accompany the film Mission Blue.

With the advent of mass-media technology, the progress of humanity has turned into one big chat in which we are stuck and we’re not going anywhere. Humanity must seriously shape up before going intergalactic. Nature has given us the models we need. ~ Assen Assenov, Master of Urban Design, Harvard

So, rather than missions into space, why aren’t all mission resources focused on MISSION BLUE – saving our oceans? We can’t afford not to focus on rescuing our lifeline.

Resources have been developed by many individuals and organizations working on different aspects of this critical topic.
